With so many new titles coming up, 2017 is looking like yet another great year for gaming. We’ve had had some great games come out on the PC like DOOM, Dishonored 2 and many more. But they’ve come and gone, now it’s time to look at what the future has to offer! Here we have complied for you a list of five most badass upcoming games of the year 2017 that you can count on.

Assassins Creed Origins

After taking a year off from their annual release, Ubisoft might just have figured out how to bring the audience back to the Assassins Creed Franchise with Assassins Creed Origins. Ubisoft brings us a whole new adventure with Assassins Creed Origins that takes us to where it all began – Ancient Egypt. You will play as Bayek, protector of Egypt, and the story will laed you to finding the Brotherhood and kicking of the origin of the entire franchise. The combat system and mechanics have gone through some major changes which by the look of it seem very promising! Assassins Creed Origins will be out on October 27, 2017.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War

After the surprise hit of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor we all knew it was a matter of time before we got a sequel and Middle-earth: Shadow of War does live up to its predecessor.  The story picks up right after where the first game ends and has you play as a half dead ranger with a mythical ghost possessing his body to take down Sauron! Middle-earth: Shadow of War features tweaked combat and better visuals along with a new siege mode that will make the game a lot more enjoyable!

 Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is one of the hottest games that are coming out on the PS4 & PC on August 8, 2017. So why is there so much hype and anticipation surrounding this game? Well for starters, it’s made by Ninja Theory the developers behind Heavenly Sword, Enslaved and the not so great DMC Reboot. Ninja Theory has established a reputation for making cult classics hack and slash games that follow a compelling narrative and have gorgeous visual graphics that’ll have anyone impressed. Hellblade follows the story of a Celtic warrior Senua. From what we’ve seen the narrative is filled with Norse mythology. Throughout the game, Senua will be fighting her inner demons and psychological trauma that will take the form of living things which subsequently you’ll have to slice up!

We all know this game was going to be one of the most anticipated games of 2017. Activision has finally listened to its fans and decided to back to the roots. This means that no more space combat, mechs, or futuristic technology – good old fashion boots on the ground combat. CALL OF DUTY: WWII, as the name implies, is based on World War II and follows a solid narrative which is something recent Call of Duty games have been lacking. The campaign will showcase the biggest moments in the war in a cinematic and moving way. The best part is, the multiplayer has multiple new features which include a central hub for all players to hang out.

One of the biggest games in development from Microsoft has finally been announced to be released on September 29, 2017, on the Xbox One & PC! Cuphead is one of the games that are different and bring something new to the gaming industry! Cuphead is an indie game that looks like an HD 1930’s cartoon and plays like one as well. This run-‘n’-gun shooter combines the thrilling giant boss fights found in Mega Man and old-school Disney animations to deliver a game that feels like the “good old days” when gaming was about being Fun and not high-end!

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus

If you liked DOOM then you’ll love Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus. I think we can all agree that we hate Nazi’s but B.J. Blazkowicz “REALLY” hates them, so much that the Nazi’s he’s taken out is uncountable at this point. This is the sequel to the Wolfenstein game that has you make your way through legions of Nazi’s in an alternate timeline of the world where the Nazi invasion succeeded and they won the war! You can expect a lot of high-octane gameplay, crazy shootout, and Nazi killing action in this sequel!
