Long time fans have been speculative of Destiny’s last expansion pack being released before the game’s content cycle would come to its end. Now with a possible leaked image from its marketing material, of what clearly looks to be a new DLC, Destiny fans can now put away any doubt. The leaked poster reveals to us the title Rise of Iron, and what looks like a medieval inspired character along with three wolves as companions. Could this mean we’ll be getting a feature that includes pets? it’s too early to call.
A Press team at Kotaku did manage to verify the image with Destiny’s developer Bungie and scooped up details on any new added features. The new expansion will feature a new Raid that’s set to be larger than the Year-one DLC’s. Rise of Lion was originally set for an April release, however, plans had shifted during development and the game was then push for some time in September. There have been rumors floating around the community that Rise of Iron was intended to be part of Destiny 2, which many believe it would be announced sometime this year or at E3, but that’s very unlikely.
Nonetheless, here’s hoping we hear from Bungie at this year’s E3 event.
