Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition is just right around the corner. Capcom has taken the fourth game in the original series and has tweaked the game with some new goodies for fans of the original series.
Action Director Yuji Shimomura who worked on Devil May Cry 4 was brought back to work on the over the top cut scenes with Game Director Hideaki Itsuno for this special edition of the game.
With getting to play as Nero and Dante, this new special edition will introduce you to three new playable characters. Vergil, Trish and Lady have been added as playable characters. All new three characters will have their own fighting style.
Vergil will have a slow paced sword style with two mechanics given to him are “Concentration” and “Grim Trick” abilities. Vergil will still have “Sword Illusion” as well. Lady will be mostly firearms style with gun play as her choice. Trish will be sticking to one main weapon which is if you remember playing as Trish from Devil May Cry 2; her weapon will be Sparda sword.
Adding these characters to the mix will provide a new opening and ending cinematics while playing the main campaign.
It wouldn’t be a Devil May Cry game if it didn’t have the different types of modes to play. The modes are
Son Of Sparda
Dante Must Die
Heaven or Hell
Hell and Hell
There is a new mode that will be introduced to the list, “Legendary Dark Knight Mode.” This new mode puts players up against an onslaught of massive amount of enemies. If you have played any of the “Dynasty Warrior” games then you know what I’m talking about.
Bloody Palace mode is back and this time you can take all players in and go through each level with different enemy’s coming at you. Clear all enemy’s move on to the next level of enemy’s. It should be nice to play this with character’s you have not gotten to play with before.
Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition will be running in full 1080p with 60 FPS. This special Edition will look and run smooth on the next gen gaming consoles and the pc version will get the same treatment.
As a bonus, if you pre-order the game before its release you get two skins for Lady and Trish.
Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition will be available on June 23rd for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC as a digital release outside of Japan. Japan will have the physical edition of the game which lands on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC on June 24th.
