Its no secret that Fortnite: Battle Royale had to step its game when coming up against the gaming giant that is Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds Battle-Royale style game that has to dominate 2017. However, since Fortnite’s released on PC and current consoles, the game has really shot off in standing alone as its own entity in the battle royale style game.

Today, during The Game Awards, the studio behind the game revealed its upcoming new 50vs50 mode that puts half the population against the other, something unseen in a game in a while. The mode will become available tonight (as of right now) through December 17th, along with increased player counts on both teams, some new specialized rules will also be placed and some tweaks in its balance compared to its regular Battle Royale experience. Here’s the complete list of brand new features in the mode—along with the its reveal trailer below:

  • Friendly Fire Off (But you will still see hit indicators.)
  • Limited visibility of non-squad teammates.
  • Squad VoIP only.
  • You can revive ANY friendly teammates.
  • You won’t see non-squad teammates until you land.

Fortnite: Battle Royale is now available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac.
