Microsoft have just announced that they will be collaborating with the developers of the newly announced Gears of War 4 to create an exclusive limited Edition Gears of War Xbox One Elite Controller.
The controller will only have a small amount of units made, making it a very desirable controller, so you’ll be lucky to get your hands on one. It will have the same types of features and customisation options the original Xbox One Elite controller does, only with a gears of war design implement to it.
As you can see by the photo, there is a large Gears of War logo to the left side of the controller, close to the newly designed D-Pad, which features the default loadout icon that includes the grenades, the Snub Pistol, the Gnasher and the Lancer. Another unique design element is on the paddles. They will be produced with the colour red to match the colour way, just like the USB cable will be, too. There are a lot of weather marks on the controller, including a massive scratch looking mark on the top of the controller, which also coincide with the Gears of War design.
Overall, this controller matches the theme of Gears of War 4 very, very well, in my opinion, and I can’t wait to here from other fans about their opinion.
You can preorder the controller, in most countries, as of now for $199.99, a considerable amount for a controller, but it’s limited edition, so what can you expect? The shipping will begin in October of this year, around the time that Gears of War 4 will officially release.
