We saw an amazing line-up of upcoming games at e3 and more amazing games are being announced every other week. While we love quite a few of the most anticipated games of 2017 – 2018, we found ourselves lacking a game that could fill the void Dark Souls has left. So, to help you find a replacement for Dark Souls we searched and found the most hardcore upcoming games of 2017 – 2018 for you to get the thrill and of the challenge.

Days Gone

One of the most talked about games at E3, Days Gone is Sony’s upcoming new Zombie/Survival/Action game that puts you in a world filled with zombies that come after you in hordes – literally. From the Demo, we saw at E3 the game goes with a more realistic approach to a Zombie outbreak which means if you won’t be a hero, you won’t have anyone to save and the only goal you have is to survive. If that isn’t enough to impress you then the sheer number of zombies that the game can have on screen at a time will surely will!

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

A single man with the single mission to kill every Nazi on the planet in an alternate history of the world where Nazi’s won the war sums up Wolfenstein perfectly. With unforgiving gameplay and an actually compelling story that will make you root for Bj Blazkowicz and his merciless yet justified retaliation against the Nazi war machine. Let’s all keep in mind that this is the game that embarrasses people to play on the easy difficulty so you can expect some hardcore action and challenge.

Cuphead

90’s era cartoon graphics, a full-fledged side-scroller experience with giant bosses sounds like the perfect game for anyone looking for a challenging platformer game. From what we’ve seen and heard about Cuphead it’s going to be one of the best indie games of all time as well as capturing the classic appeal of 90’s cartoons – in a game. If you like challenging side-scroller games you better be on the lookout for this one.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is what you get when you make a version of Skyrim realistic. Deliverance is like a historically accurate Skyrim. This is a first-person RPF game set in a medieval world based on the real-world history of Bohemia. The game has no minimap, HUD, and a lot more features we’ve come to expect from conventional RPG games. This is by far one of the most hardcore games in 2017.

Code Vein

Imagine combining Dark Souls with Vampires – what you get is Code Vein. Code Vein is the spiritual successor of Dark Souls and is being developed by Bandai Namco. Code Vein has a combat system very much like dark souls but with a whole lot of blood and vampires which all things said are pretty hardcore! Code Vein could just be the next thing for gamers looking for a challenge to enjoy.
