The very exciting upcoming game by Hello Games, No Man’s Sky, is going to be one of those games that you can sit down for hours on end playing, and still have more to do. This is down to the fact that the main aim of the game is to explore loads and loads of planets inside a vast universe.

Recently, Game Informer Australia decided to ask Sony about some of the features in the game. One of the things that he says in the mini interview is quite big news –

“PS Plus won’t be a requirement to play online, however you will need to be connected to the internet for your discoveries to register with the universal atlas,”

My opinion is the same as the majority of other people’s opinion: it’s not very surprising. Considering how unlikely it is to find a friend in the open world of the universe, there doesn’t seem like there should be much point in having to pay for that online service. I only hope that other companies in the future think about their games like this a bit more, as it is quite a nice feature of No Man’s Sky.
