Capcom announced today the official launch date through a new cinematic trailer for the upcoming new installment in the now 2-decade fighting series; Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite. Mark your calendars for September 19th, 2017 as the date in which one of gaming’s beloved fighting series makes yet another return with its grand roster of heroes and villains from both the MCU and Capcom.

Today, we also receive confirmation of new characters added to that roster, that include characters from both medias. Characters such as; Ultron, Hulk, Hawkeye, Rocket Raccoon, and Thor for Marvel. On Capcom’s side, we have; Strider Hiryu (My Person Favorite MvC Character), Chris Redfield (Resident Evil), and Chun-Li (Street Fighter). We also get a glimpse of two new confirmed stages, both Avengers Tower and Throne Room (depicted in the images & trailer below).

“For the first time in franchise history, the Marvel and Capcom universes collide in a visually stunning and immersive cinematic Story Mode, as heroes and villains battle together to save their merged worlds from a sinister new threat, Ultron Sigma. A combination of the robotic foes known as Ultron from the Marvel Universe and Sigma from the Capcom Universe, this psychotic villain is obsessed with infecting all organic life with a cybernetic virus. History’s greatest gathering of warriors must now unite to fight back against Ultron Sigma and save their newly formed world.”

Along with today’s release announcement, Capcom also revealed the game’s Deluxe Edition and its Grand Collector Edition. The game’s standard copy is going for its usual game price of $59.99 USD, its Deluxe Edition at $89.99 USD that’ll include its “2017 Character Pass” this will grant you access to six post-launch characters DLCs throughout the year—the first being Sigma from Mega Man X. Finally, if that doesn’t cut it, there’s the Collector’s Edition at a whopping $199.99 USD—yes, you read right. This 200 dollar edition will come included with four detailed interlinking dioramas of Chun-Li, Iron Man, Mega Man X, and Captain Marvel from TriForce. Also, LED powered Infinity stones replicas and a neat steelbook packaging.

Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite launches September 19th, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. No news on whether the game will launch on the Nintendo Switch—it’s likely, and a no-brainer.
