Now I’m sure this was something many weren’t expecting to get announce during today’s PSX Conference, and that is Marvel vs Capcom Infinite. After a long hiatus, one of fighting’s most beloved game franchise’s is coming back in 2017. As seen in the trailer—preferabally on the Marvel side—looks to be taking inspiration from many of the Marvel films. Game footage is also set to be revealed at tonight’s Capcom Cups. As of now only modes such as; Single Player Arcade, Training, Mission Mode, and Story Mode.

Executive Producer Mike Jones from Marvel Entertainment, stated the following on behalf the upcoming game:
“For the last two decades, Marvel vs. Capcom has been one of the most celebrated franchises among fans. To deliver on that legacy, we’ve worked closely with Capcom to create a game that honors the heritage of the series and combines Marvel’s unique brand of storytelling with Capcom’s world-class gameplay. We’re raising the bar with Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite and are excited for players to get their hands on it next year.”
Director of Production Michael Evans from Capcom USA, also stated the following:
“It was deeply inspiring for our development team to join forces again with Marvel and we can’t wait for our fans to experience the benefits of that collaboration first hand. With Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, our goal is to provide memorable experiences and infinite gameplay possibilities for players of all skill levels.”
Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite launches sometime in 2017 exclusively on the PS4.
