After a well deserved eight-year hiatus, Capcom is finally bringing back the beloved Mega Men series with next year’s installment — Mega Man 11. The news was released through the long-teased Mega Men 20th Anniversary livestream earlier today, where for the first we’re finally given a glimpse of the newly announced title.

As shown in the trailer below, the game heavily references the original 6 titles, showcasing a spectacular looking 2.5D aesthetic. We’re also shown minor gameplay of Mega Man’s beloved robo-dog sidekick Rush who’ll assist the player in reaching higher and longer platforms—as with all the challenges and strategy that comes in a Mega Man game. Along with all its colorful 2D glory, 2018 seems like the perfect time to bring back Mega Man and his buddies to today’s new consoles.

Check out its new reveal trailer down below:

Mega Man 11 is set to launch in Summer 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, PC and the Nintendo Switch.
