Microsoft has revealed the Xbox’s new updated dashboard which has gone live for all users worldwide. “Fluid Design”, as its being called comes with an all-new redesigned homepage which makes the userface much more simple and easy to customize. From what we know, the top-level section now has four shortcuts which include; your current game, two personalized suggestions, a deal from the Microsoft store and a horizontal carousel underneath. One major change is the new “Content Blocks” that sits below the screen. When scrolling down you’ll find a series of large visual panels dedicated to games and friends—they’re there also to customize and act as miniature hubs for your favorite titles and communities.
We know that the quick-access Guide has been given an update which is now faster, with small horizontal tabs that you can slide between by pressing the RB or LB bumpers, D-pad or left thumbstick. Launching the Guide while streaming or in an active party, you would now see the corresponding broadcast and party tabs by default. Other tweaks include, new Tournament section in the multiplayer tab and professional/community tournaments that you’ve entered in the past. Also tweaked, is the idle and screen dimming features that appear when you walk away from your console.
Most of the changes introduced can be small in proportionate, however, they’re ito give the user and the system a much better simplicity. Microsoft has been testing this new dashboard update for a couple of months now and looks like their work has really paid off, the home menu looks fresh and clean.
