This year’s Tokyo Game Show has brought us tons of new info on game’s prepping for release. While many are still under development, and one game, in particular, is Hideo Kojima’s newest game Death Stranding. Since its reveal back in June, Hideo’s latest new game is still a complete mystery. Our only knowledge of the game is what we receive in the game’s announcement trailer, which does a good job illustrating what the is mostly about. Fortunately for us, today Hideo Kojima alongside Artist Yoji Shinkawa, revealed new information for their latest project.
Kojima announced the game will feature a new form of co-op play, yet fully playable as singleplayer. He was also asked if there is going to be a heroine, Kojima’s only response was “Who should play her?”. Does this mean Norman Reedus character isn’t the main protagonist as many had assumed? it’s possible.
Finally, Kojima responded to what everyone has been waiting to hear, when is it coming out? Kojima hinted that we’ll be seeing the launch of the game sometime before Tokyo 2020 Olympics and the new Akira film. This could mean sometime in 2018, or spring 2019? it’s very much likely.
At least for now, we got further upcoming events where Hideo would be attending, in hopes he shows something new.
