The game originally announced during 2013 Spike VGX Awards and developed by Hello Games, No Man’s Sky, has finally got an exact release date. Before now, we knew that the game would be out in June of 2016, but now, we know the exact dates. June 21st for North American players and the 24th for United Kingdom players. These release dates apply to both PlayStation 4 and PC. The announcement was during an event made recently for the press.
No Man’s Sky is an open world where you can travel across the whole universe with more than 18 quintillion planets each with a different challenge when faced. The player will also be able to upgrade everything from their weapon, to their suit. As the player travels to the different planets, their will be new alien life form for them to deal with.
There will be different editions of the game that you can buy from launch. One of these is the Limited Edition for PS4. No Man’s Sky Limited Edition will include a Steelbook case, a No Man’s Sky comic, and a 48-page artbook with some concept art inside. The in-game items that come with this are the Photonix Core ship boost, a Boltcaster SM weapon blueprint and a bonus towards Trader Charisma. The asking price for No Man’s Sky Limited Edition PS4 is $79.99 which is quite a good price for a brand new game and all the goodies that come with it.
There is also an edition that will only be sold on the PC called the Explorer’s Edition. A cast metal ship replica, hand painted with decals is included with this edition. Also included is a copy of the game, obviously, a pin, a diorama display background for your model ship and a mystery item worth around $10 that will be revealed at launch of the game. The price for this is $149.99 and only 10,000 models are being made of the ship, so these will probably go quick. You can preorder this edition of No Man’s Sky from iam8bit.
However, if you just want the game and nothing else, the price is $69.99 for PlayStation 4 and PC.
In conclusion, I am looking forward to when this game will be released and, hopefully, we will have a review out, shortly after it comes out.
