At today’s Microsoft E3 Press Conference, developer Bluehole announced that the widely popular MMO survival PC title; PlayerUknown’s Battlegrounds will arrive on Xbox One consoles this fall. We’re introduced to a brand new Xbox One gameplay trailer in full 4K quality (video above).
For those unfamiliar, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a third-person battle royale type game, the last-man-standing from the 100 players in one server. The pioneer of these wonderful survival/military Battle Royal style PC games is Brendan Green—known well for establishing titles such as the ARMA series, and H1Z1: King of the Hill. Since its release a few months back, the game has stuck a cord with many PC players, and the boost from popular gaming Youtube and Twitch channels only made the game a must have title for PC.
The game starts you off in a 100-player server, you begin on flight in a carrier plane to a remote island filled with supplies and weapons at your disposal. You’re either a lone survivor waiting to become champion, or you also have the option to group up in a squad of 3 or 4. Described as a “realistic” and “high-tension” combat experience with wild confrontations with random players.
Playerunknown’s Battleground is currently on Steam’s Early Access program. The Developer have said we’ll be seeing the title launch sometime this Fall. A PS4 version is of yet still unknown of when its own version will be launching.
