Developer Impulse Gear and Publisher Sony interactive Entertainment new VR game — Farpoint — launches today on PlayStation 4. Revealed last year during Sony’s E3 conference, the game caught widespread anticipation for its playability on the VR.
The game will also support the use of the PS VR aim controller. You can also team up with a friend or stranger online for the game’s co-op mode. Purchasing the bundle that includes both the game and aim controller will cost you $79.99—the standard copy will go for only $49.99. Let’s just hope this game give the PSVR more dedicated lifespan if it wants to keep a bright future ahead.
Down below is the game’s overview via Sony, along with its brand new launch trailer:
Farpoint is a riveting VR space adventure set on a hostile alien planet. On a mission to pick up scientists studying an anomaly near Jupiter, a sudden rupture nearby sends you and their station crashing onto an unknown alien world.
Separated from your colleagues, you must use holographic logs scattered throughout the landscape to reunite with the scientists and escape the planet. Explore and discover the secrets of the planet, blasting your way through hordes of indigenous and alien life as you keep moving to survive.
