Human Head Studios, known best for their work in the horror game Prey, announced their newest open world RPG game — Rune: Ragnarok. The long-awaited return of the studios Rune series makes its return after whopping 16-year hiatus.
Set in what looks like the dark ages, and given the title Ragnarok, we’re sure to expect many Norse mythologies in the mix. Players are expecting to face-off many usual and unusual enemies along their journey, you’ll also be granted with mystical abilities—skills that’ll surely assist you through the harsh world. The game will feature enemy raids, free-roam exploration, fighting the undead, and the necessity of creating powerful weapons. This, of course, is only bits of what’s to expect when the game officially launches.
Project Director of Rune: Ragnarok, Chris Rhinehart said the following on behalf of the announcement for the studios new game:
“After seventeen years, we are thrilled to finally announce a new Rune game. In the spirit of the original, Rune: Ragnarok has intense and brutal combat in a world steeped in Norse mythology. We can’t wait to show you what we’ve created.”
