E3 2016: State of Decay 2
Undead Labs Studios revealed the next chapter of the action-horror game, State of Decay 2. This time, the game has been announced as a 4-player co-op game. The sequel will take place in the same location as the first, Trumball Valley and will focus heavily on survival combat with you and your team.
“When development first began on the sequel, however, the game apparently did resemble its “Class4”-codename roots; Undead Labs did start down the MMO road. “It was a server-hosted, online world,” said Strain, “with the business models that go along with that: subscriptions [or] free-to-play. This is not a session-based experience. It’s drop-in/drop-out. They key thing that I want everybody to know is, it doesn’t require you to be online. We’ve designed it very much with the intention of it being the easiest, most convenient type of multiplayer you can imagine.” – Undead Labs
State of Decay 2 will see the light of day sometime in 2017. For more on everything E3, be sure to check out our E3 2016 page for the latest announcements, demos, and trailers.
