A developer for Streets of Rogue stated today that their team is eyeing a possible game launch on consoles sometime soon. For those who are unaware, the game is currently a PC exclusive—currently in Early Access—and has gained quite a popularity of Steam. The game mixes much of what we’ve seen in games like The Binding of Isaac and surprisingly enough; Deus Ex. You’re tasked with completing various missions throughout the game’s city which is in-game generated.

When asked by a fan: “any chance you’ll release this for Nintendo Switch?” Dabrowski responded:

It’s a major possibility, I’d like to do it (Xbox and Ps4 as well) — need to look further into it, but since SOR is Unity-based, I’m not anticipating major problems on the technical end. Knock wood.

A new update (5.6) brought in an Easy Unity port feature, which likely allows for Nintendo Switch support. Check out the game’s action trailer below:

Streets of Rogue currently has no official console release date, yet it’s now available on PC in Early Access.
