At this year’s E3, Activision Games showed off its latest in the Transformer franchise with Transformers: Devastation. From the game play demo that was viewed this Transformer game heads back to its roots with the stylish 1980’s look from the cartoon I remember growing up as a kid.
It is awesome seeing my favorite Autobots battling it out with Decepticons in this brawler style game where at will, you can transform from robot to vehicle during combat. With this adds style to the combat switching from robot to vehicle unleashing some devastating combos as you fight your way through out levels.
Platinum Games who is behind games such as Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance has put in their touch of combat and action that feels just right for executing combos and action that makes Transformers: Devastation feel fun to play.
Transformers: Devastation lets you chose to play as one of the six Autobots to take on the Decepticons that plan to turn earth into a replica of Cybertron. You get to play as Bumblebee, Grimlock, Sidewipe, Wheeljack and of course Optimus Prime.
Fans that grew up with the 1980’s cartoon series will be glad to know that Peter Cullen is once again the voice of Optimus Prime. Frank Welker has come back as well to voice Megatron and Soundwave. Activision has also announced on their website that Dan Gilvezan will be returning to voice BumbleBee. Dan Gilvezan has not voiced BumbleBee since 1987. BumbleBee will have a voice.
