Universal Studios Japan has released a teaser trailer for its upcoming and widely anticipated new attraction based on a Super Mario-themed Super Nintendo World. The trailer shows us, Mario, as he makes his way through some of the attractions in the theme park, traversing pipes, collection coins, and nicely finishing it off hanging on a pole with a glimpse of the entire park being shown down below, one can only guess what wild attractions would be created and discovered at this new theme park.

One thing is for sure, it’ll feature everything we love about Super Mario, from mushrooms to Bowser’s Castle, no rides as of yet has been confirmed, or visible during the teaser, the construction of this park is still a long way ahead. The theme park opens in 2020—just in time for the Tokyo’s 2020 Olympic Games—Universal Studios Japan CEO J.L. Bonnier stated along with today’s teaser

“The new Nintendo-themed area will have different levels, and it will offer our guests a unique experience, and also provide for our international and domestic guests a complete immersive experience which will have attractions, retail, and restaurants.”

Also, although it’s nowhere to be seen in the teaser, Vice Chairman of Universal Parks & Resorts Mar Woodbury promised that in the near future, plans for a “Mario Kart Experience” is in the works, now we’re not sure if this is solely exclusive to Japan’s theme park or throughout. Check out the teaser below:

As stated before, Super Nintendo World opens in Japan’s Universal Studios in 2020.
