Electronic Art have announced, at an EA Investor Day, that Unravel, their cute platformer based on the character Yarny, will soon be receiving a sequel. That’s right, they have stated that they will be extending their partnership with Coldwood Interactive to make this possible.

“Earlier this year, we released Unravel, a one-of-a-kind, physics-based puzzle platformer that captured the hearts of players around the world,”

Patrick Söderlund, EA Studios Head Boss, stated on his post.

“The awesomely creative development team at Coldwood Interactive brought tiny, endearing Yarny to life. And since then, it’s been quite incredible to see the community’s love for Yarny, both in the game and beyond.”
“At EA, we love working with creative and passionate development teams, in our own studios and our partners,”

further on he said:

“Which is why I’m very pleased to announce that we’ve signed a new agreement with Coldwood to work with them on their next project.”

Since creating that post, EA confirmed our expectations that it will be a sequel to Unravel.

I, personally, can’t wait for the next title in the Unravel series, as the original one was amazing. We will be sure to keep you up to date here on Irrelevant Gamer about any more news that breaks out about Unravel in the near future.
