With Virtual Reality becoming more and more popular by the day, we are still left to wander if the winner of “Game of the Year” will be a Virtual Reality game. If so, this would be a first for the awards, which started 5 years ago and has been won by games such as Minecraft: Console Edition (2013) and Rival Kingdoms (2014). Game of the Year will be chosen by the public, and is expected to receive as many votes as it did last year – 30,000 individual votes.

The TIGA awards are sponsored by many great gaming companies. Their “Gold Sponsors” are:

Ashridge Executive Trust
Playground Games

and Sumo Digital

The TIGA Awards will be at Christ Church Spitalifields, which is in the East End of London.

We will be giving you more coverage on the awards very soon, so keep your eyes peeled on the Irrelevant Gamer Twitter to see it as soon as possible.
